The objective of the Foresight Group technology solution termed — Citizen Relationship Management Information System (CR_M_IS) is to help with the digital registration, onboarding and management of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises for the Federal Government Survival Fund Program.
The program includes Payroll Support, Guaranteed Offtake, MSME Grant and Artisan & Transport schemes. The CR_M_IS platform will also enable inventory management and warehouse logistics as part of the Guaranteed Offtake Scheme (GOS) through its Supply Chain Management System (SCMS) application.
The Survival Fund program is part of the Economic Sustainability Plan of the Federal Government, which aims to support and protect these businesses from the potential vulnerabilities brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
A total number of appropriately 1.7m MSMEs accessed the Foresight CR_M_IS in order to register for one or more of the schemes.
Nigeria has a large informal sector which contributes about 65 percent of its economic output, thus making them highly vulnerable to falling into poverty due to the COVID-19 shocks.
The CR_M_IS technology solution platform has been developed by a group of young and talented Nigerians working in The Foresight Group.
