Foresight Group has teamed up with IBM through its Knowledge Hub entity to extend free access to IBM’s Digital-Nation Africa programme, (D-NA).
Wide spread availability of digitally knowledgeable and skilled talent is the key to Africa’s participation in the Fourth Industrial revolution (4IR). The global digital economy is set to grow from $11.5 trillion in 2016 to over $23 trillion by 2025. With a keen interest in harnessing the benefits of digitalisation in Nigeria and across Africa, Foresight Group through its Knowledge Hub entity has launched a partnership agreement with IBM to offer over 80 free courses to the general public.
As we look to deriving benefits from a digital economy, it is of great importance that we start to provide various avenues for acquisition of the skills that will be needed. With a predominantly young population, Africa is poised to provide the workforce of the future across many industries with the right investments and strategies.
Providing easy access to digital skills is one of the key pillars of Foresight Knowledge Hub. Our partnership with IBM leads our efforts in this area. Foresight Knowledge Hub is also working closely with private and public sector to create more avenues for learning and deepening our readiness for a digital economy.
